Makerspaces are places where people share tools and knowledge to build whatever they want. Developed out of MIT's "Fab Lab" concept, hundreds have sprouted up all over the country in the last 5-10 years. They function like a community center, with tools - or in the case of Hatch (or HATCH), a "tool collection" and free classroom.
I don't know if you all have heard of Digital Direct Manufacturing (DDM), but thanks to my work with the SLA 3D printer manufacturer, Formlabs, I have become very familiar with the subject. I recently held a webinar talking about this new wave of manufacturing, and what it is.
Time for some concept building! Sometimes people ask me "What's the most accurate CAD software?" or "How precise is [software package]?". The real answer is a little longer than I can give in person, so I wanted to write it out here to really explain it to people.
